Kanye West's new album, Jesus is King, released earlier this month, and it capped off the the biggest "GbtG" moment of 2019.
If you haven't heard about what Kanye West has been doing recently, you've been living under a rock. West has been garnering a lot of attention over the past couple of years. Whether good or bad, people have felt his influence.
This year, Kanye's Sunday Service, a gospel-oriented music experience, has been getting quite popular. Although some people have been cautious of Kanye, buzz started to grow when his wife, Kim Kardashian, tweeted that he was going to release new music which appeared to be Jesus-centered.

The new album would be titled, Jesus is King, and the aftermath of its release has made Kanye have the biggest "GbtG" moment of the year. If you don't know, "GbtG" is short for "Glory be to God."
Yes, secular, mainstream artists have release gospel projects before, but West's album has made some noise in its short time since being released. How? For starters, the album debuted at no.1 on the billboard 200. "Jesus is King" was a title seen above all titles. Get that!
Next, the album sparked Google searches for "Jesus." Meanwhile, the American Bible Society decided to show their support for Kanye fans by giving away 1,000 bibles to help people know more about Christianity.
Finally, what makes Kanye have the biggest "GbtG" 2019 moment is that at a recent Sunday Service in LA, over 1,000 people committed their lives to Christ!
Not to Kanye . . . but to Christ! No one should anoint Kanye above anyone, but it is worthy to note that God can get the glory out of anyone and anything.
For whatever reason, Kanye's new direction became a seed that the Lord decided to water. Today, we can start to see some fruit that glorifies God more than anyone because not everyone is feeling the new West album.
